The Chanters appeared in the Missoula 2009 choral festival and were enthusiastically received and have been invited back for this perfomance. Thank you to Dolce Canto for sharing this information and making this concert possible. Thanks also to the cooperation of the Music Dept of the University of Montana, The Montana Arts Council and the generous financial suppport of the University Montana International Programs and Central and Southwest Asia Study Center. For those not familiar with Georgian Liturgical Music it is hauntingly beautiful, ethereal and peaceful. The sound is very different than the more familiar Byzantine and Russian styles.
