This Sunday Snapshot is of St John the Wonderworker in Eugene, Oregon.

The Cross of Christ blessing Eugene, Oregon.
Desiring to save the world, the Savior of all hath sent unto us a new saint and through him hath called us forth from the dark abyss of sin. Hearing this call to repentance, we, the unworthy ones, in turn cry out to God: Alleluia! Kontakion 10 Akathist to St John of Shanghai and San Francisco

This is really a lovely parish in a great, eclectic neighbourhood. Seeing these images makes me a little home sick

It is an eclectic neighborhood, with the “Organic New Age Grocery” just down the road. Actually that is about where the pictures were taken from. The parish building has a very interesting history which I need to try to dig up. The parish does a lot of outreach to the local community, which I find very impressive. Thank you for your comment! Perhaps you should plan a visit to old friends. : )
