O Great Martyr intercede for us

OrthodoxPortland now has an RSS feed to this site.  (yes it is about time)  Please note that Holy Trinity Cathedral in Portland has been offering a Byzantine Music Chanting Class with Fr. Dimosthenis for beginners and advanced chanters.  For those who live in Portland this is a wonderful opportunity to learn Greek chant.  Please refer to OrthodoxPortland for more info.  (Learn Byzantine chant is a free web based program with the major Feasts and Saints hymns in both Greek and English. It has modern and Byzantine notations arranged for male and female voices.  An excellent starter site for those who would like to learn some of the basic hymns in Byzantine Chant; and yes they have a hymn to the Great Martyr George)
