St Basils Academy in Walla Walla is looking to fill 2 teaching positions for upcoming school year

XB!

Saint Basil Academy of Classical Studies, an Orthodox Christian School in Walla Walla, Washington, currently has openings for one full-time and one part-time Orthodox Christian teacher. We are contacting parishes in the Northwest in hopes that the information can be made available to any interested parishoners and/or posted in newsletters or on bulletin boards as deemed appropriate.  We are hiring for the academic school year 2011-2012.

St. Basil Academy has been a Washington State approved private school, serving grades K-8, since September of 2005.  The mission of St. Basil Academy is to provide an education that encourages the spiritual development of the students in an academically strong program.  Our curriculum is founded on the classical model of education.

The current total enrollment is 23 students with 30 enrolled for the next academic year.  While our Kindergarten is one-half day, the other students attend a full school day and the school’s calendar is based off the Church calendar.   Our school year runs from late August through early June.

St. Basil Academy serves an Orthodox community of approximately 50 families.  Two-thirds to three-quarters of our students are from our parish and the remainder are other community members.

Applications received by June 1, 2011 will be considered.  More information including a job description can be found on our website:  saintbasilacademy.net.  Please contact Matushka Anastasia Reese at 509-529-4035 for more information.  We appreciate your help in disceminating this information to your Parish.  St Basil Recruitment letter to Parishes,  St Basil Academy -Job Description & details
