Byzantine Music School starts Sat Oct 8th in Portland Oregon

The Byzantine Music School of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Portland, Oregon is starting its 2011 session on Sat Oct 8th.  This wonderful opportunity to learn Byzantine Chant, is  well worth traveling a distance to attend.  Their website has extensive information on its purpose, history of Byzantine Chant, sound clips, practice scales, and links for further information, well worth a visit even if unable to attend classes.  (For all of you who love or interested in Byzantine Chant the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral Choir of Denver, CO will be performing Oct 14th and 15th in the Portland area and chanting at a Divine Liturgy.  More info can be found at OrthodoxPortland and will be posted soon on OrthoNW, FLYER-PORTLAND-2011 )
