The Hellenic-American Cultural Center & Museum in Portland Opens a New Exhibit; “HELLAS, Footprints in Time” Sunday the 19th

“The Hellenic-American Cultural Center & Museum (HACCM) (FB) is excited to present our new exhibit, “HELLAS, Footprints in Time.” This exhibit will feature the recent generous donation by Elaine Pappas-Suarez, who collected and rescued a variety of art objects during her eleven years as an exporter living in Greece from 1969-1981. Ms Pappas has gifted her Greek collection to our museum. Come and see such items as pottery, sculptures, coins, clothing, weaving, jewelry, wood block prints, linens, liturgical articles and other pieces which reflect art from antiquity to modern times.
Save the date for the opening of this exhibit — Sunday, February 19th at 1 pm. A reception will be held honoring Ms. Pappas following the opening in St. Demetrios Hall at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3131 NE Glisan Portland, Oregon. The exhibit will be open through 2012..”
