OCMC Tanzania Missionaries to Speak in Puget Sound Area Churches Sept 8-9

James and Daphne Hargrave, Missionaries in Tanzania from the Orthodox Christian Mission Center, will visit the Puget Sound area September 8-9. During that time, they will speak at three parishes about the exciting work in a growing Orthodox Church in East Africa.

On Saturday evening, Sept. 8, the Hargraves will speak at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church (OCA), 8710 28th Ave., East, in Tacoma following Vespers which begin at 7 p.m.

They will make a presentation to the congregation at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2100 Boyer Ave., East, Seattle on Sunday, September 9 immediately following the Divine Liturgy. The service starts at 9:30 a.m.

The Orthodox Christian Fellowship of the University of Washington is hosting a meeting to hear the Hargraves on Sunday evening, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church, 21236 Poplar Way, Brier, WA.

Everyone is welcome at all three events.

On the Hargraves return later this year to the Holy Archdiocese of Mwanza, in Western Tanzania, under the leadership of His Eminence, Metropolitan Jeronymos, James will continue his work assisting Church leadership in communications, translation, and youth ministry as well as developing a Church newsletter and working with English-language education. As a registered nurse, Daphne plans to help in developing and implementing health care ministries throughout the Archdiocese.
