Basics of Orthodoxy Lectures at St John’s in Beaverton, Starting Oregon Feb 13th-April 22nd, 2013


St John the Baptist in Beaverton, Oregon is hosting a “Basics of Orthodoxy” an introduction to Orthodox Christianity class series.

“This series begins February 13, 2013 and runs approximately five weeks before the beginning of Great Lent. The first few classes are generally offered on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Then on Mondays during Great Lent, we have Great Compline at 6:00 p.m., followed by 7:00 p.m. class. A specific schedule is usually available by January 1st of each  year. You can also check the online parish calendar to see if classes have been scheduled.

PLUS, an Orthodox Spirituality Retreat, covering topics of Prayer, Fasting, Monasticism & more is offered on Saturday, April 20th from about 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. The retreat takes place at St. John the Baptist Church.”  Basics of Orthodoxy series3
