Commemeration of Armenian Genocide April 24th and 28th, 2013 at St Kevork Church Clackamas, Oregon

A Joyous Lent to All

Saint Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church in Clackamas, Oregon Presents:

“This year, St. Kevork Church will be commemorating the 97th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide with two events on April 24th and 28th. On Wednesday evening, April 24th at 6:30pm, we will be a Genocide observation consisting of be brief speeches and poems in Armenian, English, as well as a talk and discussion in English.

A memorial table will be placed outside of the church.  If you can, please bring a flower to place there in memory of the victims.

This year we hope to bring non-Armenians to our observances.  To make this possible, we are asking you—our community—to distribute leaflets wherever you think they may be effective.  Downtown Portland and Vancouver, as well as public places in Clackamas and Beaverton, would seem appropriate.  Leaflets will be available at the church, and at Anoush Deli in Portland and Vancouver.  Click here for the flyer

On Sunday, April 28th, after the Holy Badarak service, the St. Kevork Armenian School and the members of our extended community will present a cultural program to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.”
