  1. What do you mean diagreements over “politics” re the Ukrainian celebration? I thought as Americans who are Orthodox we all celebrate the independence of the nations formerly enslaved by the USSR!

  2. Thank you for your comment! Ukrainian vs Russian politics and ethnic identity can be a sore spot, for both sides. It is a complex issue that started before the Soviets. I simply post events that Orthodox might be interested in, I refrain from giving my opinion on most posts. I placed the comment here simply to remind readers that OrthodoxNorthwest is not taking sides on current or historical Ukrainian and Russian Politics. As an American they are both Rus to me! Thank you again for reading and commenting! It is nice to know somebody is reading the site.
