Global Family Alliance Needs Host Families in the Seattle Area for Ukrainian Children Affected by Chernoybl – Summer 2014!

A Joyous Lent to All!

The  Global Family Alliance (FB) is once again seeking host families.  What a wonderful opportunity for Orthodox Christian families of all jurisdictions to reach out to those in need!

“Last summer’s hosting program was a big success!

The Global Family Alliance once again hoping to bring about 20 Ukrainian orphans to the Seattle area this summer for a 6 week medical/dental/cultural exchange visit , and are searching for host families, or people that may be willing to donate towards the cost of the summer hosting fees.”

What We Do
Global Family Alliance is an alliance of families actively seeking opportunities to improve the health and welfare of Ukrainian orphans and poverty-impacted families in Ukraine, especially those in areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Why We Do It
We believe that opening our hearts and homes to these children will have a short-term, long-term, and eternal impact. Our goal for children who participate in the health respite program is for them to return home with overall better health, certain medical needs met, an appreciation of the American culture and people, and a realization that they are valued and loved.

Care to Join Us?
Participating in the summer hosting program is a life-changing experience, not only for the Ukrainian children, but also for their host families. Other opportunities include donating items such as vitamins, shoes, clothing, school supplies & medical services. Financial contributions to the program help reduce the cost to host families and provide for additional children to participate in the program.

If anyone is interested, or would like more information about hosting program, please visit  the Global Family Alliance website ”

The website has some great photos of the kids arriving at SeaTac Airport.
