La Blouse Roumaine June 24th, 2017 at Maryhill Museum of Art

Apodosis of Pentecost.

Maryhill Museum of Art presents:

FAMILY FESTIVAL: La Blouse Roumaine Saturday, June 24, 2017 | noon to 3 p.m.
Take a Romanian-focused family tour through the Maryhill galleries for inspiration, then try your hand at embroidering a Romanian-inspired design on materials right for your skill level. All ages welcome.
The tour for this program is scheduled at 1 PM.  Activities will be from Noon to 3 PM in the M.J. Murdock Education Charitable Trust and Education Center.  Activities are self-guided, but volunteers and the museum’s Curator of Education Louise Palermo will be on hand to assist.
The program is free with museum admission; children 6 and under admitted free; family rate of $25 for two adults and any number of related children.

Maryhill Museum is beautifully located overlooking the Columbia River.  It is an impressive building with a most interesting history.  Their permanent collection includes artifacts from Queen Marie of Romania and her Icon collection.  Well worth a visit.  St. John’s Greek Orthodox Monastery in Goldendale, Washington; a spiritual oasis located in Central Washington, is only 30 minutes away.
