Celebration of Wine
The 11th annual Celebration of Wine is kicking off at Holy Trinity’s Parish Center on Sunday Sept. 24 with the Wine Appreciation Class, 2-6 pm, taught by Fr. Russell Radoicich. For only $5 anyone can come for the fun tidbits of information and essential methods to test your palate, eyes and nose in appreciating all varieties of wine. Fr. Russell was raised on a California vineyard, is an enologist of 35+ years and loves to impart his knowledge to willing listeners (over 21 years of age, of course).
Then all that new found knowledge can be put to the test on Thursday Oct. 5, 6-9 pm at the Parish Center at the 11th Annual Wine Tasting. $45 tickets bought previously or at the door lets you taste up to 50 different bottles of various types of wine, from champagne to merlot to port, and many others. Plus lots of foods spread throughout the room, from top sirloin bites, a fruit and cheese table, ahi-ahi tuna seared as you wait, cocktail pasties, and more stick-to-your-ribs appetizers, to a fabulous dessert table. It is a jovial evening to meet friends while partaking of good food and even better drinks.
Raffle tickets with two winners each taking home 25 bottles of wine will be offered again, for $25 each. And only 100 tickets will be sold, so the odds are 50 to 1! Winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday Nov. 19 after the Church coffee hour, and winners need not be present to win. Just be sure you phone number is legible on that ticket stub!
Call the Church at (406) 723-7889 if you need tickets and are not already on the wine mailing list. Presales are preferred for planning purposes, but tickets will also be sold at the door on Sunday Sept. 24 ($5) and Thursday Oct. 5 ($45). Raffle tickets ($25) will be sold at both events and until the drawing on Nov. 19.
